Kabarak Law students have proudly represented Kenya in major international moot court competitions, many of which include traveling abroad. Between July 23 and 26, 2025, the university’s Law students demonstrated their expertise in international criminal law during a prestigious competition held in Nuremberg, Germany.
Moreover, In June 2024, Kabarak ranked second in Africa during the regional rounds and advanced to the global stage in Geneva, where the team earned acclaim for submitting the best Complainant’s brief, a significant achievement in international trade law.
That same year, Kabarak represented the continent in Austria at the IBA-VIAC CDRC Vienna Mediation & Negotiation Competition, reaching the semi-finals in alternative dispute resolution.
In October 2024, the university’s team also excelled at the Natural Justice Environmental Moot, where their focus on ethical and legal issues surrounding GMOs earned them multiple accolades, including Best Researcher and Best Respondents’ Memorial.

Law student Monica Musembi is among those who’ve benefitted from Kabarak’s international platforms. “I have travelled the world through Kabarak University. In 2024, I went to Germany for an international Moot Court competition where we secured positions worldwide,” she shares.
In 2025, Monica traveled to The Hague, Netherlands, for another global competition in which the university reached the quarterfinals. “I am so proud to be part of Kabarak University for the four years that I have been here,” she adds.

During the Africa Regional Finals of the China International College Students’ Innovation Competition held on July 25, 2025, at the Argyle Grand Hotel in Nairobi, Vice Chancellor Professor Henry Kiplangat reaffirmed Kabarak’s commitment to global collaboration, innovation, and youth empowerment.
He praised the competition’s impact on African youth and emphasized the university’s mission: “We want to find solutions to African problems. We believe our students in universities and colleges can provide solutions to the challenges that we are facing in different sectors of the economies of Africa.”
