Kenya National Drama Festivals have changed the mindset of many people as new careers and talents unfold. Parents have embraced their children’s talents unlike in the millennial era, where art was viewed as a mere recreation.

Every year, the Kenya National Music Festival honors Kenyan culture by presenting a diverse range of music, dance, and other talent. This promotes the preservation of Kenyan cultural history while giving learners a stage to compete and showcase their creativity.

Bahati based Thow Kingly School in Nakuru city, is among the top schools that shone in this year's festivals. The school says co-curricular activities keep learners active and inspired.

Mr. George Mumelo, headteacher of Thow Kingly School, believes that many talents are molded when learners are still young.

“Music festivals have given our learners a platform to a successful career," said George.

According to Mrs. Keziah, a teacher at Thow Kingly School, Music Festival is a time in the academic calendar that aims to foster students' holistic development in developing their abilities.

“In addition to showcasing the nation's rich culture, the diversity has enabled the students to experiment with various musical genres, expanding their creative horizons,” she added.
