Safaricom has rolled out its PATA MORE campaign in Nakuru, introducing a range of enhanced offers aimed at giving customers and businesses greater value from everyday digital services. The initiative covers mobile data, M-PESA payments, Pochi la Biashara, Lipa na M-PESA, Fibre, smartphones and connectivity tools, as the telecommunications company expands its value proposition across the Rift Valley region.
Safaricom customers have a reason to smile after the telco company launched PATA MORE, where customers and merchants on its platform, will get more value from M-PESA, including revised Pochi tariffs that expand free Pochi transactions to KES 200, and cap transaction fees at KES 50, adding convenience for every shilling spent.
This was launched in Nakuru on 7th August, 2026. Safaricom (NSE: SCOM) PATA MORE is a new product that gives customers and businesses more value from the connectivity products and services they use every day.
PATA MORE presents value, more convenience and more freedom for customers. Customers will enjoy 250MB of data for KES 20 valid for 24 hours, up from 150MB; 1.5GB for KES 99 valid for 24 hours, up from 1GB; and double value on the KES 1,000 monthly data bundle, now 21.5GB up from 10GB.
For M-PESA customers and merchants, PATA MORE adds more value to everyday payments through Pochi la Biashara. Customers can now make Pochi transactions of up to KES 200 for free under Pochi Kadogo, up from KES 100, while fees for transactions above KES 200 will be capped at KES 50 for the next 90 days.
Pochi helps merchants grow their businesses by providing access to loans through Taasi Pochi, savings and investment opportunities with Ziidi Pochi, and income protection through Tuunza Mapato. Merchants can also earn up to 10% commission by selling airtime, creating an additional income stream while serving their customers.

The campaign also strengthens merchant value by raising the Lipa na M-PESA Buy Goods Kadogo threshold from KES 200 to KES 500, enabling small businesses to keep more of what they earn as more customers pay digitally.
Customers looking to upgrade their devices will receive added value through data, voice connectivity and device insurance, making it easier to stay connected while protecting their devices. This includes the Neon Ultra 2 smartphones, available with KES 55 daily repayments and device insurance.
Drivers and riders subscribed to Bundle Ya Deree/Boda will benefit from packages that combine connectivity with work-enabling tools, including free access to ride-hailing applications, Google Maps, and Tuunza Mapato insurance.
At home, Fibre customers will enjoy internet speeds that are up to 2.5 times faster across plans, alongside family sharing and flexible connectivity options.

"We understand that every choice our customers make matters, whether it is staying connected, sending money, running a business or supporting their families.” Says Peter Ndegwa, CEO, Safaricom PLC.
He says Safaricom will continue to listen closely to their customers and respond with solutions that offer practical, everyday value. Through PATA MORE, Safaricom wants to give its customers more from the services they rely on most, and ensure they continue to show up for them with care, simplicity, and support when they need it most.
Through this product, Fibre for Business customers will also receive enhanced value, including faster speeds and built-in cybersecurity protection that helps block harmful websites, prevent risky downloads and flag suspicious activity in real time.
PATA MORE also brings the Safaricom experience together through One App, which gives customers one place to manage connectivity, browse available offers and access support. Customers can manage everyday services, chat with Zuri on WhatsApp or One App, or dial 100 to speak to the Zuri Voice Bot.
PATA MORE reflects Safaricom's continued commitment to creating value by bringing together connectivity, digital tools and care into one seamless experience that helps customers and businesses get more from every interaction.
